Diablo Lake is a reservoir located in the North Cascade Mountains in Washington State, USA. The lake was created in 1930 by the Diablo Dam, which was built by Seattle City Light to generate hydroelectric power. The striking blue-green color of the lake is due to glacial silt that is carried down from the surrounding mountains. The lake is surrounded by wilderness and offers excellent recreational opportunities, including fishing, boating, and hiking. The Diablo Lake Trail, which offers stunning views of the lake and the surrounding mountains, is a popular hiking destination.
